Description: This piece is super special. I tried to show as many photo angles as possible but the photos do not even do it justice. This is one of the largest salt pigs I've come across and I see no flaw, chips, cracks, breaks or repairs. It is simply gorgeous. Made in the UK, it is dated 1936 on the back and says "salt" on the front. I've used salt pigs on my kitchen stove for years. The salt is handy, stays dry and it's just such a wonderful touch of old fashioned English style. This piece would be essential for a Redware/Slipware collector or for anyone who loves vintage kitchen items. It's difficult to show the measurements in the photos with the ruler but for reference this is about the size of a round cardboard oatmeal box. *I try to keep my shipping prices low. I selected USPS for this but if UPS is less, I'll go with that.
