Description: This Singer fold-out wooden puzzle box features finger joints, a purple/brown velvet lining, and all the attachments/accessories you see in the photos. It looks to be an almost complete set. Dated February 19 1889. Each accessory has its own particular niche in the box, such that they will all fit together into the small space of the folded-up box. The box was invented in 1888 by John M. Griest, a Singer employee who was awarded a US patent for the design. 6.25" L x 3.25" W x 3.25" H Overall in good condition. Item shows wear that is consistent with age and use. Some deterioration and tearing to the lining as to be expected. I'm not sure if the attachments are all in working condition. Some of the attachments have oxidation and rust.
