Description: Here we have a unusual piece. This antique solid silver bottle has a duel purpose. One end is for smelling salts and the other for perfumed oil. It is in very good condition as you can see from the pictures. The end for the perfumed oil has a glass inner which contains cotton wool, the glass lid fits perfectly and is free from damage. At the opposite end is a grated lidded container for smelling salts. I'm sure this could also be used as a vinaigrette. The lids on either end close securely and have very strong hinges. The container is fully hallmarked, DM&Co for Davis Moss and Co. The anchor for Birmingham and the date 1913. There are a couple of tiny dings as you can see in the pictures but nothing major at all. The container measures 6.5cm in length, 2.7cm in diameter and weighs 65 grams.Thank you for looking and happy bidding.
