Description: Antique SAMPSON MORDAN & CO MAKERS Gilt Silver Ruby Glass Double Scent Bottle Pre-owned. From an estate. Some of the gilt has rubbed off. Unmarked as to silver content but tests as sterling silver. Only mark is "S.Mordan&Co Makers". One end is missing the glass stopper and the cap on that end has a shallow edge dent. The other side's cork has shrunk. That cap has a bigger and deeper edge dent. Fleabites along beveled edges of the glass. This piece measures 5 1/2" long. The glass portion is 1 1/4" wide. There is a monogram on one cap and a lion crest on the other as shown.
