Est. 1856 Detroit Yacht Club Captains Cap Hat Authentic Navy Blue Appel produced from the late 1800's-Early-Mid1900's...you will search forever trying to find a Yacht Hat as nice as this one!The hat sits really nicely for its age...only problems are shown in photos. There is a nib in the underside of brim and a couple small nibbles on the back brim. It is a bit dirty as well but do not want to do anything to it so I don't damage it! The Detroit Yacht Club, founded in 1868, is the largest and one of the oldest most prestigious private Clubs in North America.Disclaimer:All sizes are approximate and descriptions are honest and made to the best of my ability! I am the step daughter of the late 87 year old “Grandpa Jim” who served in the Navy during the Korean War and traveled the southwest extensively as a truck driver where he would visit nearly every pawn shop and roadside stand to find his unique items. He was an eclectic collector so when I was tasked with the job of disbursing his things I found a passion for learning about each item; where it was from and how it was used.
