Description: This stunning antique porcelain bowl was made by R.S. Prussia. It is painted with very realistic pink poppies and other florals in beautiful shades of pink, green, white, and yellow. The bowl itself has eight distinct "petals" which are separated by beautifully embossed cream and gold floral decorations. The outside edges are gilded, as are the embossed flowers. The plate is translucent when held up to a light, and it bears the RS Prussia "red" mark on the bottom. This shallow bowl is in very good pre-owned condition, considering it dates back to the late 19th century to early 20th century. The guilding on the edging and embossed florals has a small bit of wear to it, but it is mostly intact. There are no chips, cracks, or other damage. The rim of the raised base on the underside has a small manufacturing flaw. Please see all photos for further details and condition (plate holder is not included). Measures 8.5" in diameter, 1.25" deep, and 5" across the footed base.
