Made by Queen Cutlery Company.This is an early stamp, very scarce, 1940’s to early 50’s.Shortly after introducing their new line of knives with 440C stainless steel blades, Queen found that the word STAINLESS would drive knife buyers away, so the company changed the stamp to QUEEN STEEL.Pattern #82 fixed blade hunting knife. 8” OAL, 4” blade.Winterbottom bovine bone handles, no cracks or chips.Aluminum guard and knob are both tight no wobble.Shows light use, full blade with scratches, light sharpening marks along the edge.Light scratches and tarnish on the guard and knob.No sheath.A rare knife in solid used condition!The handles on this knife were crafted from South American Zebu cattle shin bone.
