Description: Primitive Hand Tool Lot Click image to enlarge Description 6 Piece Primitive Hand Tool Lot Here we have this mixed lot of 6 primitive vintage antique woodworking, carpentry hand tools. Lot includes what looks to be, a handmade spokeshave type scrapper. It measures about 13-1/2" long and has an adjustable, removable steel scraper blade. It has embedded surface rust and a worn scraping edge. Lot also includes a primitive, probably homemade bevel square. It has heavy surface rust and a fracture in the wood handle (neat handle, great patina). Next we have a 6" Nicholson Mill Bastard file with removable wood handle. The file is old with rust and what I would call, is dull. It's handle has a brass bolster with two set screws and there are a couple of cracks in the wood. Next we have a strike staple removal pry tool (for lack of better words). It has a round metal striking plate on the end and measures about 9--1/2" long (neat old handy tool for removing larger staples). Next is a 12" long threaded wooden screw handle (similar to a handle used on a wooden holding clamp). It has a brass end with a pointed tip. The outside thread diameter is about .950" and there are about 5 threads per inch. And last we have a old fabricated mystery board. It is about 13" x 2" and 1/2" thick. It is cut in the shape of an "H" with a hole in the center. Don't know what it was used for but it was with this group so it is included. Tools have been cleaned, freed of loose rust and coated with an application of "Johnson's paste wax". All items in this lot are old well used or beyond use or for display only and being sold as-is.
