Description: Antique Painted Wood Firkin with Cover & Wood Handle. This wonderful firkin in mustard paint with black painted tapered fingers has a great look. It is a very collectible size measuring 10” diameter at the bottom and 9” diameter at the top x 9” tall. The wooden bucket is made from poplar with interlocking edged staves and a single piece painted bottom. It is held together with two ash hoops with tapered fingers. With the wooden handle up, it is 13” tall. It has been left natural on the inside. The overall condition is very good. There is a minor crack in the bottom hoop and some soiling and imperfections commensurate with its age. Please look carefully at the photos.
