These water bottle labels have golden edges, striking fontsand the rendering of a regal Native American chief. The first bottle of WacondaWater mineral spring water was sold in 1874 from Waconda Springs, Kansas. Inthe 1890s it was being sold in all parts of the country. It was awarded“Mineral Water of Superior Medicinal Quality” at the St. Louis World’s Fair in1904. It’s unknown the year these labels were printed, but they’re of superiorquality and were leftovers that were never used. Waconda Springs, now coveredby Lake Waconda in North Central Kansas, was a natural, artesian mineral springthat produced mineral water purported to have healing properties. NativeAmericans worshipped at the spring and bathed in its waters. The water wasbottled and sold in the late 1800s and early 1900s. A health resort was builtnext to the springs, and people would travel for miles to pay for its healingproperties. FREE SHIPPING via USPS.
