C. 1800 to 1850......possibly earlier. Tag is 19th c. Stating it was from knife river n.dakota Lakota and hidatsa were in this area. Great old early saddle from a nomadic era on the plains of the west. few things exist from this period. This saddle went back to a tepi at one point.
