Description: This is a lovely and delicately rendered Antique Old 19th c. Dutch Plein Air Impressionist Oil Painting on canvas, depicting a tranquil rural village scene, with traditional Dutch homes, chickens, and a woman in an ankle length dress who appears to be ironing. The color palette is soft, yet vivid, and reminiscent of the fine French Impressionists. Signed: "G. Wentink" in the lower right corner. I could not find any information on this artist, but perhaps you know more about them or their work? Approximately 24 x 32 inches (including frame.) Actual artwork is approximately 19 3/4 x 27 3/4 inches. This piece approximately dates from the 1890's - 1920's. Good condition for over 100 years of age, with some light craquelure, minor paint loss at the edges, scuffing, and a few small pinhole tears to the canvas (please see photos.)
