Description: ANTIQUE NEEDLEPOINT TAPESTRY PILLOW OF CAVALIER KING CHARLES SPANIEL You are looking at a charming antique hand stitched wool needlepoint of a Cavalier King Charles Spaniel. I’m actually not an expert on breeds but that’s what the person said it was and I’m taking them at their word. You be the judge. The needlepoint is in very good condition for it’s age. The colors are still pretty vivid. The needlepoint area measures approx. 7.5” x 11.5” Around the needlepoint I used a green and metallic edging. I put the needlepoint on a tapestry fabric with a lush leaf and cherry motif which I thought worked perfectly with the colors in the needlepoint and gave it a very opulent look. The pillow is finished off with an antique gold metallic 3” eyelash bullion fringe which I also covered with the same green and metallic edging that I used around the needlepoint to give it a cohesive look.On the back I used a forest green cotton velvet. This fabulous one of a kind pillow measures approx. 16” x 23” stuffed. The entire pillow is lined for extra durability.There is a hidden zipper closure for your convenience. There is a feather and down insert for a plush look and feel. If you are a dog lover like me or love this particular breed then you will adore this truly unique pillow. It is in excellent newly created condition combining the old (needlepoint and gold bullion fringe) and the new (all other elements). It comes from a smoke free home.
