Description: A very early example of the intricate decorative work of the Myott, Son & Company factory at Stock-on-Trent. Though collectors are most familiar with the art deco work of Myott, this excellent piece evokes the earlier late Victorian sensibility. Hand-painted floral boughs under glaze with copious gilt accents applied by hand over glaze. Base carries the stamp "Imperial Semi-Porcelain MTOTT< SON & Co. England in green. This mark was used from1901 through 1920 but this piece dates to the earliest portion of that period and no later than 1910. There is very little evidence of use. No chips, cracks or other imperfections Measures 11 1/2" in height and approximately 5" across the widest part of the bowl FL2
