Description: This antique cup/mug is a beautiful piece from the Imperial Porcelain Warranted -Wheeling Pottery Company. It was made in the United States in Wheeling , West Virginia. The piece has a unusual potters mark that reads Imperial Porcelain Warranted . This mark is attributed to Wheeling Potteries ( Lehner’s Encyclopedia of U.S. Marks On Pottery, Porcelain and clay , Lois Lehner, page 518). It was made around the early 1900s. This cup is a dark orange transferware floral pattern. It is heavily crazed throughout and there are marks on the glaze. There are remnants of gold paint and may have been accented in gold at one time. There is a small chip on the bottom edge. It measures 4 in tall x 4.5 in wide x 3.5 diameter.
