Description: Antique, 1900s to 1910s unknown New York (probably NYC) Mounted Police Officer. Looking very closely at the hat badge it appears to have the NY State emblem on it, it is unknown to me exactly what department the photographed mounted officer is but I believe NYPD or another New York City department. Photograph is undated aside for based on the style of uniform and age of the photograph itself. Badge on the saddle is visible as is a police baton or billy club. Photograph itself is very clean and in overall fine to near excellent to excellent condition with some very small and hard to notice tatters of at most about 1/8 of an inch at the very outer edge of the photograph at the upper left hand side. Photo is mounted on a stiff card. Outer margins of the card show some minor soiling as well as a crease in the upper left hand corner and rubs or bumps to the other outer corners. Photograph itself measures 8 x 6 1/8 inches and the entire piece including the card it is pasted down to measures approximately 9 3/16 x 8 inches.
