Description: ANTIQUE MINTON PORCELAIN TURQUOISE & GOLD GILTLIDDED BOWL/GRAVY BOATThis antique Minton porcelain stylized oval lidded bowl is a stunning addition to any collection. It measures 8.5" long and 5" wide. It is nearly 6" tall including the top handle on lid.It was manufactured in England between 1850-1899 and carries a printed backstamp. Perfect for display or use, this lidded bowl is a true work of art.It is Light Ivory in color with handpainted turquoise (or "Celeste Blue")ribbon and flowery scrolls.Gold gilt elegantly accents the piece.As can be seen on the backstop, this piece was retailed by Davis Collamore & Co. in New York.This piece shows beautifully and is mostly in wonderful condition.There is a hairline crack on one side of the bowl going through to the bottom. I was told that this was "repaired" however I do not know how they do that.Maybe it was stabilized somehow.You can "hear" that there is a crack.There is the tiniest of wobbles as it sits, which is typical for these antique pieces.Please see Photos for complete description and condition.
