Atlas, A Collection of Maps Showing the Commercial and Political Interests of the British Isles and Empire Throughout the World by W. & A.K. Johnston Limited of Edinburgh and London published 1907. Interesting dual map set up with the top map showing the mean annual rainfall (could definitely check this for global warming) and the bottom map showing Postal Delivery from London. One fun detail is the explanation stating how may days mail took for delivery with the final note of places over 35 days distant or with no Postal Service. Really makes you appreciate our current delivery systems! This 1906 map is 24.5” x 19.5” with fold inthe center as it was originally placed in the book beforeit was purchased by my family over 115 years ago. In very good condition with justslight coloring at the edges of the map commiserate with its antique age. A beautiful and interesting look at our world’smean rainfall and postal delivery system in 1906. Good addition to your collection or as a gift.
