Description: Antique Mahogany & Brass Trim Writing Box Travel Desk 19th Century Ink Bottles This is a beautiful piece of history, in very good condition for its age. You will find some wear on the outside of the box lid (see the last two photos). The bottom of the box and drawer has a crack from age (see photos 20 & 21 for this). The bottom felt shows some wear (Photo 20). One of the inside document lids is not attached (photo 19). The box comes with a key, but I can't get it to work so I'm not sure if it's the original that came with the desk. There are some stains inside from age and possible ink from previous use. The side document draw works smoothly and the brass is in good condition. Taking everything into account the box is unique and in great condition. Measurements are approximately 15" long, 10" wide & 6" tall. Pre-owned items can show signs of wear, distressing, and age. Items may have some wear due to normal use (see images).
