There's a photo of a scratch on the backside of the letter, showing what's underneath the patina.Please see all photos.Three of the mounting prongs remain on the backside of the letter. Removed from a school building in Columbus, Ohio, that was built in the 1910s or 1920s. The letters were on the front of the building - the building is being stripped for renovations, which is how we acquired them.
