Description: Antique Large Leather Luggage Outside measurement: 27.5” x 18” x 9.5” The suitcase is highly weathered. Suitcase is of full leather construction. One of the straps has been replaced with another leather piece which does not match and the other one it’s broken. This two straps are removable. There is candle wax residue on one of the straps probably for preservation or adhesive purposes. The key lock still works, but we do not have the key. The carry handle has been wrapped on two ends with some cotton tape. There’s a partial travel tag attached to the carry handle. The luggage top, near the handle, features a stencil text. The legible word is “Palmer”. Not sure if it’s the brand. The luggage top features a rip near the straps. The inside liner of this luggage is also quite weathered, with slight discoloration and rips. One of the straps attaching the luggage top to the main compartment is detached. The two side attached handles are in fair condition, and still intact. One of the sides also features the same Palmer stenciling. The bottom is missing three of the metal stud legs. On the base of the main compartment, there are only six metal studs. There is leather polis spill stains as well of a darker hue. I don’t know much about leather luggages, this item is, however, listed for $595 during the estate sale. We would love to find someone who is better versed in antique luggages so this item can continue its legacy further in better hands. Whether it is restored or preserved in a better manner.
