Dates approximately 1860/1890. In WONDERFUL restored condition. FULLY LOCKS Its becoming harder and harder to obtain boxes in this sort of condition. The box is in wonderful restored condition. No missing or replaced veneer. Lovely veneer in very good order considering its age. The comes with its original white metal central cartouche with keyhole escucheon. FULLY LOCKS. The front draw is accessed by the drop down front. The draw runs in and out with ease. The interior of the box is all original apart from the additional dividers we have supplied. The inner lid is also original material with flap for letters or other items. The ring compartment is worn but still okay the same is for the pocket watch compartment that can easily be removed if wished as this is loose. Its great to find a box with its original silk interior in good order apart from the odd marks.It is a really terrific box!! I’M PRETTY SURE THAT YOU WILL NOT BE DISAPPOINTED. Box retains the original solid brass lock, hinges and top catch. Supplied with a silk tassel and Victorian key that FULLY LOCKS the box. Instruction given once sold. YOU ONLY GET THIS TYPE OF QUALITY FROM US. Comprising a wonderful original interior. There are a few additional dividers which separate some of the compartments. Beneath the base of the box has also been lined in velvet to stop any scratches to other surfaces. A superb box, and would make a fantastic gift.
