Description: Antique Persian Quajar period pottery beehive cover, c.1880. These are usually only seen in museum Islamic collections. Circular in shape with a finger hole on the edge. These were used to cover access points to beehives. Polychrome painted with naively with three hens covered with a clear glaze. In good condition with some normal age crazing Measures approximately 8.25” across Excellent condition I have this & another from the estate of a listed Japanese artist who was living in the us . They were hanging in his entrance foyer. If you take them both I will ship them domestically for free .
