Description: A pair of antique #1 CAST IRON trunk latches. Very strong and heavy duty. Measure 3 3/4" tall by 2" wide edge to edge when latched together. g They are clean, complete, and work well with the moving latching piece. The steel springs in both pieces are good. These were used on many trunks from the 1880's into the early 1900's by many trunk makers. They were patented in 1882. These have the old black finish with some paint wear. Very hard to find! Install with trunk nails or rivets. You will receive the same pieces shown in the pictures. Please inspect the pictures as part of the description. I combine shipping when possible to save you money.
