Description: This beautiful Japanese porcelain handled sauce bowl with underplate is hand painted with a scene featuring Mt. Fugi in the distance. Both pieces are marked on the base with Hand Painted, TN inside a wreath, and Nippon. It has been speculated that the TN is for Tame and Nakamura, though I didn't find any corroborating evidence of this. Nippon is the Japanese word for Japan and was used between 1890 and 1921. The bowl measures approximately 5 7/8" long, 4 3/8" wide and 2" tall. The saucer measure about 6 7/8" by 5 3/4". This set is in very good condition with no chips or cracks and very minimal surface wear. There is a small spot on the underside of the bowl, near the rim. Please see my pictures, and thanks for looking! Fragile items are packaged securely and with care.
