An appraisal revealed this Crown stamped stein is , “made by Saechsische Glasfabrik in Radeberg, Germany. Their crown mark was registered in 1897 and used well into the 1900’s. The pewter lid would have been made by another manufacturer and the hand painting on the lid possibly done by a third company. “ The painting is remarkable and wildlife and forest scene is beautifully depicted! It is beautiful with air bubbles in the glass, signs of age with related wear markings on inner lid and wear signs on base as expected.
