What an absolutely fabulous RARE Antique German Dresden Miniature Portrait Candy Container Christmas Ornament Box a true treasure from the past features a shepherdess with a pair of lambs sitting on a rock in a pastoral scene under glass with finely detailed paper leaves mirrored border interior has a foil double cornucopia with wreath and acorn against a pale blue and pink interior also see through glass cover circa 1900, an estate sale find! The miniature is on paper did use a loop, does not look like a lithograph does not have the dot matrix pattern to the design, but maybe an etching or water color. Condition is good for this lovely old box with wear appropriate for age and use some loss to the paper trim decoration, speckles of black under the glass with the figural scene, staining to the interior see photos. Measuring approximately 2-3/4" across by 1" high, marked in ink inside on the pink possibly Germany or France not sure, please shop our store for more treasures!!!
