Description: Here we have a superb, top quality copper, bronze & brass cachepot. This is an exceptional piece with a wonderfully aged patina. It's made from a thick gauge copper, with bronze feet. The handle is a thick rope twist, I am unsure if this is bronze or brass, it is attached with a nouveau style heart shaped motif that is held in place by copper rivets. The copper is finished with a sort of entwined rope twist to the edge which is a nice feature. This was purchased from an antiques market in Geneva recently and I believe this is French in origin. I am unsure of the exact age of this but I would imagine it dates from somewhere around 1830-50. It measures approximately 7.5 inches by 8.5 inches by 10 inches weighing approximately 2.25kgs. A very grand piece, perfect for a stately home, mansion or manor. Perfect for herbs, cacti or a small tree on the windowsill. This is the only one on eBay of course so get it while you can!
