Description: This is an old unusual Victorian 19th Century ruffled cased pink glass bowl in a gold gilt ormolu holder from a local collectors estate. Not sure if this is a brides basket as a bit smaller than what you usually see. It was sold to me as a calling card holder. The bowl in holder is 8" by 7 1/4" by 5" high and the gold gilt holder mounting is very nice featuring beautiful leaves. The ruffled cased glass bowl is pink on front and white on back. Features hand painted enamel blue violet floral border and the center features a cartouche of three cherubs in the clouds. Stunning basket in lovely condition. The gold gilt is not a bright gold. I see no chips, repairs or damage to note. You should love it. Thanks for looking.
