Description: Antique French Black Forest Hand Carved Wall Weather Station Barometer This is a large and beautiful, hand made and hand carved weather station. It has beautiful figures carved details such as a hunting dog's head on the top end en on the sides there is on the left side a pheasant bird and on the right side a wild boar, leaves and other little details. A typical design for Black Forest pieces.It has a thermometer and barometer system, which are displayed in French. All in good working order ( the barometer is pressure tested and works good). The thermometer has a enameled back plate. The weather station can be hung on the wall with the original hook on the back.It was made around 1880-1910, in France. Please take note: in order to have a good working barometer at your home and place.Check with your local weather station on internet what is your local air pressure.To adjust the barometer to your local air pressure go to the back side of the barometer and in the small hole there is a screw for a flat head screwdriver to adjust the barometer to your local standard. Condition: Good antique condition. NOTE: The first picture was made in the studio with photo light,all the other pictures where made outside in the sun so that you have a good look at the colors of the wood.
