Description: Antique French lithograph from the series "Les Beau Jours De La Vie" (The Beautiful Days of Life). The page is double sided, featuring No. 56 and No. 46 in the series. It is matted with No. 56 displayed to the front, but it could be reversed if desired, although there is masking tape securing it to the matting, so it may be hard to remove. Overall dimensions including the matting are about 20" x 16". No. 56 is titled "Un Paiement De Dividende" and the comical text below loosely translates to "Excuse Me! They advertised in newspapers that the Capricorn Insurance Company is in measure to pay its first dividend, and did not warn that the dividend is in the amount of 30 cents per share. I took a cab, therefore I did not even have enough to buy a drink with my check." Condition is as seen in photos. Fading, discoloration, and other wear. The matting is warped slightly, but will certainly straighten out when placed in a frame. Please take a look at the photos and feel free to ask any questions. Thanks!! 105878
