Description: Antique French Carving Set, Horn Handles, Silver Collars and Caps This handsome antique French carving set features horn handles, stainless steel upper parts and silver collars and caps. The upper part of the fork is marked “Acier forgé” and the blade of the knife is stamped with the initials of the maker, “C.Y.”, along with the words “Acier inoxydable”. The horn handles display lovely nuanced colors. The collars and caps are elegantly designed with a pattern of ribbons and laurel leaves. The caps are embellished with a trophy motif composed of a torch and a quiver with arrows. This antique French carving set is in very good condition with the exception of a slight crack on the upper part of the handle of the fork, not affecting the stability of the piece and other signs of age and normal use.
