Description: This listing is for a nice antique French mantel clock The clock features an elaborate casing on its original wooden stand. The lower part of the case is made from alabaster stone casing with rose quartz detailing. The skirting is adorned with lovely metal detailing. The upper is made from cast metal with a gilt finish. It features a seated statue of a woman. The clock is accented with a lovely pink Sevres style porcelain dial. The clock on stand measures 13.5 x 5.65 x 12.25 inches. The clock appears to be in overall good condition physically. There are some signs of normal wear and age. Some of the colors appear to have been nicely retouched over the years The clock has an 8 day time/strike movement by Japy Freres. The springs are good. Pendulum is missing, so it’s not been properly tested The movement is also stamped with the retailer mark, “R&C (Richard et Cie) Paris & London” Please note that any mechanical clock that is moved or shipped might require adjustments upon arrival, and thus time accuracy cannot be guaranteed. Please see all photos for details and feel free to message with any questions. Cheers!
