Description: This piece has been identified as a Covered RUMMER Goblet or a SWEETMEAT JAR - my thinking is that today it would be better suited as the later - can't imagine drinking Rum from such a fancy piece of antique FLINT GLASS! The Goblet has a Cut Diamond pattern between bands of short, vertical ribs - cut panels below - finished with a 16 point cut rayed bottom. The Lid has a variation of the same Cut Diamond pattern with smaller details - topped with a 6 sided faceted finial. Unmarked - Maker Unknown Measurements: 8.5" tall with the lid on GOBLET / base - 5" tall, 3.25" wide mouth, 3.5" wide foot - will hold 8 ounces Cover / LID - 4" tall, 3.75" wide, inner rim - 3" diameter, .5" high Be sure to see Condition Details in "Seller Notes" above - or - if on your PHONE - click "About This Item" Check the "Bargain Basement" category at Mimi's House Antiques' STORE for Great Deals - Perfect for "Ad-Ons"! **Save on Shipping when you buy 2 or more items - Combined Shipping available for Same Day Purchases (when possible) ** Pictures sell!
