Description: This is a very rare antique piece. It was well-loved. Doors stay closed, but when open, they hang as the pins do not stay attached. There is a wood piece that can be reattached on the door on the left in the picture. The fire engine wheels go over a rubber band (I put new rubber bands in to demonstrate how it is supposed to look, but I believe they should be thinner ones). The levers in the back somehow released the vehicles back when. There is still some give to them, but not sure what best calibration is with the rubberbands. The bell still rings if you push the lever. Great for a collector. I published on an antique fire toys site and there were a lot of very enthusiastic comments about this piece. It belonged to a great-grandfather as a boy. Looking for a good home. Please contact me with questions, information or offers.
