Sometime shortly after 1915 the label / logo was changed to include, "MADE IN USA" and REG. U.S. PATENT OFF. and periodically changed from there. Fabric: There are four layers in the bodice area: The exterior velvet with it's own dark backing, the black netting, the soft cream colored cotton muslin, and the cream brocade shattered silk. Please see photos. Inside the arms it appears there may have only been the silk lining which is shattered there as well. Condition - The velvet exterior of the jacket is in very good condition with no holes or stains. Both the netted interfacing and soft cotton muslin are of themselves in very good condition, (I only see one small stain on the muslin) though they are loose and detached in some areas and will need reattaching. The silk lining is heavily shattered; heavily shredded, and hanging loose with loss, and will need to be removed and or replaced. The piece of the silk lining with the label was tacked on upside down and there is some wear to the passementerie at the inside neck area and edge and on the trim fabric on one cuff there is small inconspicuous hole.MATCHING SKIRT & BELT Very Soft Fine Wool Fabric Rounded Overlap FrontHook & Eye and Snap Closures Under FlapGathered at Back WaistHidden Loop Sewn In at Inside WaistMatching Belt with Big Grey Ball Dome ButtonCondition: Both have holes and wear. The skirt has numerous holes, a small tear hidden under the front flap near the seam, and another hidden tear on the back inside of the hem, and is missing one of the dome sides of the sew on snaps. Two of the snaps are snapped together with the one side not sewn in and so in the photo it appears three sides are missing, though in actuality it is only one side of one snap that is missing. Most likely repairs have been made through the years as some of the hook and eyes are different from one another and it appears that at one time the snaps were moved over. Overall this three piece jacket, skirt, and belt set is stunning, though will need some restoration and is sold in as is condition.
