Description: This rare piece of maritime history is a life preserver made of blocks of cork in sections covered in canvas. There is wear from age and use, it has stains and some rips in the cloth. Overall it has a great antique look! It was made by David Kahnweilers & Sons in New York. The date is not legible, it came with others that were from 1910. I am unsure what boat it was used on. It measures just under 50 inches long. Each cork is close to 12 inches wide & 2 inches thick. Please see all photos for condition and feel free to ask any questions. ***Sales tax of 7.75% is added to all California transactions.
