Description: Antique Early 1900s - Art Nouveau French Raised Enamel Vase - Possibly Mont Joye - FINE Authentic antique, fine condition raised enamel vase with frosted background. This technique was popular in the early 1900s, especially during the 1910s. Hand-painted, thick enamel color - in this case, pale pink blooms on wavy, pale green stalks and leaves - was baked onto glass creating a decorative, slightly raised surface. Although there is no makers' mark on this piece, this vase style was made by French art glass companies Mont Joye, Muller Freres, Legras, Houdaille, Choisy Le Roi, and others. From online research, our best guess is that this is a Mont Joye piece. (Please let us know, if you have better information.) Vase measures 11 1/4" tall x 3 7/8" in diameter (5 3/4" diameter at flared top edge). Lot weight is 1 lb. 14 oz., estimated shipping weight is 3-4 lbs. Will be thoroughly padded and carefully wrapped for secure, intact delivery. U.S. Shipments: Will be insured and shipped USPS Priority Mail.
