Description: ANTIQUE DELENIERES LIMOGE NINE UNKNOWNPERHAPS BREAD & BUTTER Purchased set of antique dishes at an estate sale. These had always been in one family. The original family owner had them brought to to her by mule from Mexico to her Texas home. Shipped from New York. They were a wedding present for her.Higgins & Seiter was a New York business from 1887 to February 1915 that sold quality porcelain.D & C stands for Delinieres & Cie which operated in Limoges, France. All of the dishes in the set are marvelous antiques. Each of the dishes will be described as they are listed. It will take a while to list them all, since I do have other items to list also, but if you are interested in knowing if I have a particular item, please ask. Nine beautiful handpainted what I am assuming to be bread and butter plates due to the fact that I have previously listed what I thought to be sauce dishes. Anyway, they are about 5 1/2" across and maybe 3/4" raised edge. They are various flowers on them. The gold is somewhat worn on some but not bad. There is one with a chip on the gold at the rim that is on top of the photo of the stack and in the last two photos can be seen, one at the four o'clock position. No other chips or cracks or discoloration or scratches. Other than that all are beautifully painted and are in excellent condition. All part of the set of Delinieres Limoges that are true antiques. The set includes 8 dinner and 8 salad plates, relish dishes, tureens (2 sizes) dessert plates, tiny 3" plates for serving a chocolate or other tiny item, sauce bowls, dessert plates, cups, small flat serving platter or plate, soup bowls and serving bowl.
