Antique, scarce, nearly two centuries old hardcover three quarters leatherbound book with marbled paper covered boards in overall very good condition. Edition is a scarce complete in one volume edition. Exterior is clean with rubbing to the corners and edges of the spine and boards as well as some superficial scuffing to the leather. Spine face is decorative hubbed with gold gilded and embossed text and design. Front and back covers have tortoise shell marbled paper and outer page fore edges are decoratively deckled. Interior of the book is clean with an old bookseller's label and 19th century former owner's bookplate on front endpaper. Front endpapers gutter shows some tatter however the hinges are not cracked or loosened and this is superficial to the gutter paper only. The back endpapers are slightly loosened but the backcover is not and they are still well connected to the binding via the original binding strings. Title page has a small clip at its upper right hand corner. Interior is overall very clean with some foxing here and there throughout, mostly to the illustration plate pages. Book's binding is tight and well intact. Book retains its complete structural integrity. Book is complete with all pages present and none coming loose, detached or missing. Book has no odors. Book totals 912 pages, measures approximately 9 1/8 x 6 1/4 x 2 1/8 inches and weighs just under 3 pounds.
