antique decorative hand painted & gold decorated pierced compote

Description: Here's a very old but great looking hand painted compote with nice color flowers on top. There's also a lot of decorative gold on the rim and in bands on the top. The whole base is also elaborately decorated in gold. On the bottom is hand written " Major Convolvulus" and a "4" over "1348. it measures 5 3/8" tall and 8 5/8" across. Excellent condition. No chips, nicks, cracks, or scratches. There's designed pierced work teardrop holes on the top and base.
