Description: 1920's Dazey Butter Churn with (#40) Original 4-quart Jar This is a 4-quart Dazey Butter Churn with wooden churn paddles & handle; metal gears & lid. Manufactured by Dazey Churn & Manufacturing Company of St. Louis, M.O. in the 1920's. "Dazey Churn & MFG. Co, St Louis, U.S.A." is embossed on the original glass jar. "40B" is stamped on the metal crank. This is an impressive, authentic statement piece for your kitchen or home decor! DIMENSIONS: Approximately 14 inches tall (Jar alone is approx. 9.5 inches tall) CONDITION: In very good vintage/antique condition. Scratches to bottom of glass (as well as a few impressive air bubbles) but no visible breaks, chips, or cracks. Metal cranking mechanism & paddles move easily in both directions. Age-related wear & oxidation/rust to metal. As I am not an expert in the art of butter churning or of antique kitchen appliances, I cannot recommend this item for actual butter churning purposes, but instead, as an aesthetically pleasing, authentic piece of vintage/antique decor.
