Description: Offering a charming ironstone Transferware plate made by Davenport. The central reserve depicts an exotic temple or building on a lake surrounded by trees and with further buildings and mountains in the background. It is surrounded by a border of stylized flowers and scrollwork. The rim is ridged and slightly flared. The underside is marked in blue under glaze with a crowned garter bearing the word ironstone and surrounding the pattern name “Friburge.” Underneath the crowned garter appears the maker’s name, which is repeated with an impressed mark containing an anchor. The plate measure approximately 8.25 inches in diameter and sits on a 5.5 inch foot. The item(s) are antique and sold as is. They may show wear, fading, scratches, chips, cracks, original imperfections and/or damage from normal use. I note a chip to the front and more to the foot as shown in photos. Examine photos carefully as they are part of the description. Imperfections were factored into pricing. No returns or refunds.
