Description: This listing is for antique hand-hammered silver sugar nips tongs made in Denmark in 1924. The assayer was Christian F. Heise who was active between 1904 - 1932. There is also a mark for Dansk Arbedje which is a trade association that promoted Danish consumerism. That's the D hammer A mark inside of the shield. The maker's mark is to the left of the three tower mark but I am unable to decipher it. The three tower mark is the silver standard mark (82.6% silver) with the date mark at the bottom (24). This piece is 4 1/4" long and the weight is .86 troy ounces (27.0 grams). There is a two letter monogram FB on one side of the tongs. Very good, pre-owned used condition. There are light surface scratches from use, storage and polishing. I have only lightly polished this piece. Please see all pictures for details.
