Description: This beautiful, antique handmade bedding is a one-of-a-kind piece. The intricate crotchet design showcases expert craftsmanship and attention to detail. I suspect but cannot guarantee, it is made of rayon. My suspicions are rayon because someone put it in the dryer and it turned hard/rough. The vintage style and pattern make it a perfect addition to any collection. The last time I saw this European style pattern was at the MET. This handmade coverlet is possibly from the 1930s and made of what is believed to be rayon. SHIPPING IS TO THE CONTINENTAL USA ONLY. I Have the pictures of it spread on my king size bed to give you an idea. I suspect this was made for a table, I actually like these in my guest room, with the appropriate color for your design style beneath it, so you can show off the pattern. Many people discount old tablecloths bc they don't know what to do with them since we don't set tables anymore. Use them in your bedrooms! They also look great stretched over couches. I also don't think that it is perfect creation and suspect there might be disconnected threads that I cannot find. Considering its age there has to be some disconnected threads in this pattern because it's possibly moving close to a hundred years old. It's a pattern that we rarely see. Not to mention old textiles are difficult to date. I didn't find any loose disconnected pieces of the pattern but that does NOT mean there aren't any. So please have no expectations for perfection. I don't think this is good enough to gift so keep that in mind. It definitely plays well with shabby. Refer to all the photos as it's showing you the entire item. Stretch your photos to see if this meets your need. The photos in fact are part of the description.
