Description: Gilbert clock probably from the late 1800's. Wooden veneer case in a mantle or shelf steeple design. It measures about 15 1/2" to the top of the point on the steeple and is about 10 3/4" in width. The veneer on this old clock is in very good condition. There are just a couple of minor loss spots, mostly on the corners of the base section. It has a piece of painted glass on the bottom with a nautical or ship theme. The mechanism inside appears to be in good shape. I am in no way a clock repair person. I know the pendulum movement has made the gears move and chime and it's very clean inside. I don't have the key, but the pendulum weight is there. This is going to be a tough one to ship, obviously. I'd prefer to do a local pick up and am willing to drive a little bit from Southern Maine to meet someone.
