Description: This is one of several stoneware offering bowls from the estate of a woman who lived in Thailand for a decade around the 1960s. Research led me to determine that it is from the 19thc Chinese Quing dynasty, early Bangkok, and made for the Thai market. Brightly colored and hand painted, it has scalloped edges and is a pedestal offering bowl or stem dish or cup, most likely from the mid 1800s, perhaps older. It does appear older and more primitive than the other bowls I have listed. It is a one of a kind, lovely example of the Tazza Benjarong style. There are raised dots, enamel paint highlights to add interest. The dish is in very good condition for its age. No cracks noticed, slight wear to glaze inside the bowl, see last photo. Glaze and colors look great. 6.5" across at the top and 2.5" tall, it wieghs 15 ounces. Please see all photos to judge condition for yourself and ask if you have any questions or need additional pictures. White spots are glare from the overhead light. I am always happy to combine ship if you purchase more than one of my items.
