Description: This antique Chinese tile features intricate designs of birds, including phoenixes and parrots, on a terra cotta base. The tile is believed to have originated from a temple roof, adding to its historical significance. The primary material used is porcelain and pottery, and it is an original piece of art from China. Its age and maker are unknown, but it remains a unique representation of ancient Chinese culture. This tile is perfect for collectors of Asian antiques or anyone interested in adding a piece of Chinese history to their collection. This is a nice antique possibly ancient Chinese terra cotta temple or roof tile decorated with 2 birds that I believe are either a phoenix or parrot. I'm not certain exactly how old the tile is, I know that it's quite old. I had a fellow antique dealer look at them as well and he believes they could date to the 13th century possibly earlier. I'm selling it as is, unknown age but I guarantee it's an antique. In pretty nice shape as the pics show with some imperfections / wear from age and it comes exactly as shown. The back of the tile has remnants of glue or something else where it was once affixed to something. It measures approximately 5 5/8" x 3 1/8" Please see my other tiles as well.
