Each porcelain dish is a pristine white (glazed on top and sides, unglazed on bottoms), decorated with pink enamel illustrations of water, buildings, boats, trees, and mountains. Designed to fit together like a puzzle, the porcelain pieces nestle perfectly within the rosewood box base, which is crafted with precise joinery and is topped with a 2-piece wood frame lid and glass panel. Measures 11" x 11" x 3.25" and weighs about 5.5 pounds. Excellent condition for the age, all of the porcelain pieces are chip, crack, and scratch-free. Edge gilding and paint are still vibrant, material is still bright white. Glass is perfect as well, no chips or cracks, paint looks great, with minimal fading in spots.
