Description: Up for bid is an antique Japan Japanese cherry wood or Kabazaiku wood lacquer trinket , jewelry box or storage box, box measures 5” long x 3-3/4” deep x 1-5/8” in height. These pretty boxes were sometimes used to store small trinkets, jewelry or incense, this one was previously used to store sandalwood incense . Nicely carved? Embossed? with a Japanese country scene. Condition, very good vintage condition with light wear, bottom has wear from years of being slid around, 2 hairline cracks in the lacquer on top of lid as shown in pictures. Interior heavily scented with sandalwood.
